In a recent statement released by the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and disapproval of the breach of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremists, facilitated under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The kingdom underscored that such actions are a blatant violation of all international norms and treaties and provoke the feelings of Muslims worldwide.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry placed the full responsibility on the Israeli occupation forces for the repercussions of these continued transgressions. The Ministry further emphasized its call to the international community to shoulder its responsibilities.
The kingdom insists on curbing the escalating actions of the Israeli occupation, ensuring the necessary protection for civilians, and making all efforts to bring an end to this conflict.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in the Old City of Jerusalem, holds significant religious importance for Muslims around the world. It has historically been a focal point of political and religious tensions in the region.
The mosque has seen several incidents in the past where access has been restricted or where confrontations have occurred, often leading to broader geopolitical repercussions. Saudi Arabia, as the custodian of Islam’s two holiest mosques in Mecca and Medina, often voices its concerns and positions on matters related to Islamic religious sites globally.
