Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz is scheduled to undergo medical tests on Sunday following recent health concerns characterized by high fever and joint pain, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The royal medical team has advised these tests to better understand the King’s current health condition.
The evaluations will take place within the royal clinics at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. King Salman, aged 88, previously visited the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah for a routine checkup in April, departing the hospital on the same day, according to earlier SPA reports.
Since ascending to the throne in 2015, King Salman has been overseeing the affairs of Saudi Arabia, which is not only the custodian of the holiest sites in Islam but also the largest oil exporter in the world.
