Israeli military forces, in conjunction with the Shin Bet security agency, disclosed on Saturday that they had neutralized four senior Hamas operatives during operations at Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital in recent days.
Troops launched raids on various buildings within the hospital complex based on intelligence indicating the presence of key figures within the terrorist organization.
These operations resulted in the arrest of hundreds of terror suspects and the elimination of over 200 individuals in prolonged clashes at the site.
One notable incident involved the IDF reporting that units from the Navy’s Shayetet 13, Givati Brigade’s Shaked Battalion, and Duvdevan unit engaged and terminated a group of armed Hamas members fleeing from Shifa’s emergency room.
Among those killed was Raad Thabet, identified by the IDF as the head of Hamas’s recruitment and procurement operations, along with Mahmoud Khalil Zakzuk, who the IDF claims served as the deputy commander of Hamas’s rocket unit in Gaza City.
In another encounter, troops from the Nahal Brigade’s reconnaissance unit eliminated senior Hamas operatives Fadi Dweik and Zakaria Najib during a pursuit within Shifa’s maternity ward, according to IDF reports.
