Sudan’s Sovereign Council leader, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has declared that the Sudanese Armed Forces will continue their fight against the rebel militia and ruled out any negotiations with those who have committed atrocities against the Sudanese people.
During his visit to the “18th Infantry Division Kosti” in White Nile State on Thursday, al-Burhan praised the efforts of the Sudanese army against the “terrorist rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.”
Addressing officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the division, al-Burhan reiterated that the armed forces would persist in their battle against the rebel militia. He emphasized that the recent incidents in Wad al-Noura, as well as other areas in Geneina, Nyala, and Khartoum, would not go unpunished.
“The armed forces will not join hands with those who have committed such atrocities against the Sudanese people,” al-Burhan asserted.
He renewed the military’s determination to continue the fight until the enemy is decisively defeated and the people emerge victorious.
Al-Burhan further stressed, “We will not rest until the enemy is completely eradicated.”
Sudanese media reported on Wednesday that at least 100 residents of Wad al-Noura village in Sudan’s Al Jazirah State were killed following an attack by the Rapid Support Forces militia.
