Twitter owner Elon Musk and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg agreed to fight each other in a cage match.
Musk posted a message on his Twitter account that he was “up for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg.
Later on, Zuckerberg replied to the Tesla CEO with a screenshot of his tweet, captioned “send me location”.
Musk then replied to Zuckerberg’s response with: “Vegas Octagon.”
The exchanges between the two of the world’s most high-profile technology billionaires went viral with social media users debating who would win the bout.
A Meta spokesperson commented on this and told the BBC that “the story speaks for itself.”
The Octagon is the competition mat and fenced-in area used for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bouts.
Musk tweeted: “I have this great move that I call “The Walrus”, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing.”
In another post, he wrote: “I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids & throwing them in the air.”
On his part, Zuckerberg was trained in mixed martial arts (MMA) and has recently won jiu-jitsu tournaments.
