Tunisian Prime Minister Najla Bouden participated in a ministerial working session dedicated to monitoring the country’s supply of grains and derivatives.
According to a statement from the Tunisian government, the session was attended by Alexander Erropy, the representative of the World Bank in Tunisia, and Christian Berge, an expert in food safety at the World Bank, via video conference.
The meeting addressed the main challenges facing the grain supply system, particularly as a result of consecutive years of drought.
The council emphasized the need to allocate all financial resources to secure the country’s grain needs and ensure the smooth distribution process.
It reviewed the initial formula of the national strategy established by the Ministry of Trade and Export Development to monitor the supply of grains and derivatives.
This strategy focuses on regulating the distributed quantities and monitoring the distribution channels to ensure the proper utilization of this essential commodity.
