Al-Sudani received a phone call on Friday evening from President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the call, both leaders exchanged greetings for Eid al-Fitr, expressing wishes for peace and stability to return to their respective nations and the wider Islamic community.
The statement further detailed that the phone conversation delved into discussions on bilateral relations, recent regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on the ongoing aggression in Gaza.
The leaders also explored efforts aimed at halting this aggression, providing assistance to the Palestinian people, and containing the escalation of the conflict.
