The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its collaboration with international partners to establish secure and sustainable humanitarian corridors to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip. The UAE is actively engaging in intense communications to halt the escalation and provide immediate protection for civilians.
According to a statement from the Ministry, published on the “X” platform, the UAE is also continuing its efforts to provide humanitarian and relief support to the Palestinian people in the areas of health, food, clean water, and shelter.
As part of its humanitarian initiatives, the Ministry highlighted the dispatch of 141 relief aircraft via the UAE air bridge, carrying humanitarian supplies. Additionally, 121 trucks have been used to transport medical supplies, food aid, and urgent relief, along with a UAE aid ship carrying 4,016 tons of humanitarian supplies to the sector.
Notably, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has deployed an aircraft laden with 50 tonnes of essential food supplies in a swift response to the recent floods wreaking havoc in the Republic of Seychelles.
The humanitarian relief effort aims to provide assistance to numerous families grappling with the extensive damage caused by the floods. The coordinated effort involves several humanitarian institutions in the UAE.
Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Development Affairs, affirmed, “Under the directives of our wise leadership, the UAE remains steadfast in its humanitarian commitments, offering continuous support to alleviate the impact of the recent global humanitarian and natural crises.”
The crises, which encompass various natural disasters such as droughts, floods, and earthquakes, prompt the UAE to tailor its humanitarian response to each crisis’s specific needs.
