UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to addressing climate change, emphasizing the importance of global collaboration. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Sheikh Mohamed expressed his satisfaction with the outcomes of the COP28 climate conference and the historic UAE Consensus.
“I was pleased to meet with global dignitaries to honour their efforts at last year’s COP28 climate conference, which resulted in the historic UAE Consensus. Addressing climate change remains a collective effort and the UAE will continue to work with our international partners in pursuit of a more sustainable future for all,” Sheikh Mohamed wrote.
The UAE has been at the forefront of climate action, hosting and participating in international conferences and initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable development.
