The UAE sent the third aid ship set sail carrying 4,630 tons of humanitarian supplies destined for the city of El Arish, as part of the “Brave Knight 3” operation to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Departing from the port of Fujairah, the ship carried 4,218.3 tons of food items, 370.2 tons of shelter materials, and 41.6 tons of medical supplies, along with 6 water tanks, 2 sewage tanks, and a diesel tank.
The aid shipment was secured through the efforts of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, with 267 trucks loading their cargo onto the ship, according to the Emirates News Agency.
As part of the Brave Knight 3 operation, the UAE has launched several initiatives, including the establishment of two field hospitals, one inside Gaza and the other a floating hospital off the coast of El Arish.
Additionally, 5 automated bakeries have been set up, with flour provided to 8 existing bakeries in Gaza.
Furthermore, 6 desalination stations have been established, producing 1.2 million gallons of water daily, benefiting over 600,000 people in Gaza.
Recently, the Joint Operations Command launched Operation Birds of Goodness to airdrop humanitarian aid to isolated areas in the northern Gaza Strip.
So far, a total of 486 tons of relief and humanitarian aid have been airdropped to these areas.
Throughout the blessed month of Ramadan, the Egyptian Air Force, in collaboration with its counterparts from Jordan and several other friendly nations within the international coalition, intensified aerial sorties and air drop operations of large quantities of food aid and urgent relief supplies over the northern Gaza Strip.
