Inas Hamdan, the Acting Media Director for UNRWA’s Field Office in Gaza, stated that living conditions in Gaza are worsening due to ongoing Israeli attacks. She emphasized that UNRWA and other institutions demand accountability for Israeli violations in Gaza.
In a televised remarks on Sunday, Hamdan highlighted the continued obstacles to aid entry, noting the limited access through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
Hamdan stressed that patients are dying silently due to the lack of medications in health center warehouses and pharmacies. She also mentioned that UNRWA’s operational space is significantly shrinking due to Israeli restrictions.
She pointed out that the hot weather is exacerbating the suffering of Palestinians amidst water and food shortages, with a rise in hepatitis cases and a high likelihood of a cholera outbreak.
Hamdan noted that 300,000 students are deprived of attending UNRWA schools and receiving educational services due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
