The United States military has announced the destruction of two Houthi patrol boats, an unmanned vessel, and a drone over the Red Sea.
According to a statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM), the Houthis launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles from a region under their control in Yemen into the Red Sea.
In an earlier incident, CENTCOM reported that a sailor sustained serious injuries in a Houthi missile attack targeting a cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden on Thursday.
The attack resulted in significant damage and a fire onboard the commercial vessel, which sails under the flag of Palau.
The ship’s crew continues to battle the blaze, and one sailor has been reported as seriously injured.
