The Pentagon spokesperson, Patrick Ryder, has confirmed that the United States intends to send precision-guided GLSDB missiles to Ukraine.
Ryder stated that the country will provide Ukraine with GLSDB missiles as part of the initiative to support Ukraine’s security.
Earlier, the newspaper “Politico,” citing four sources, reported that Ukraine might receive high-precision GLSDB missiles from the United States on Wednesday as part of the announced delivery operations last year.
It’s worth noting that the GLSDB is a joint design by Boeing, an American company, and Saab, a Swedish company.
They adapted the aerial bomb to include a rocket engine and configured it for launch from missile launchers. Saab announced that the missile has a range of up to 150 kilometers.
The inclusion of GLSDB in one of the military aid packages was announced in February of last year.
